I found a patch that enables you to download updates and disables the Non-Genuine messages at the same time.

RemoveWGA only remove the notification part, phoning home, and does not touch the Validation part. As the time I'm writting this, the Validation part is mandatory for some not critical downloads from Microsoft, but the Notification part is not mandatory at all

Remove WGA? Simple, re-format and install a different operating system. Or buy a mac. Think about it, if microsoft will sneak in BETA software this invasive as a CRITICAL update, God only knows what's next. Run while you still can!
